What's it all about?

The Discover Scuba try a dive experience is PADI's introduction course to Scuba Diving. The full name of the course is "Discover Scuba", just like our company name and its what we are all about. Within 3 hours of you arriving for the course you will be taking you first breath underwater in the luxury surroundings of a warm swimming pool. This could be the beginning of a whole new way of life for you. Imagine over 75% of the earths surface is ocean. How many people do you know who are qualified to dive beneath it? What can you see and what lives beneath the waves? As a diver you can find out for yourself.

Discover Scuba Course

This course is run every Thursday evening throughout the year. The course starts at 20:00 hrs at our classrooms in Marian College for participant registration. This is then followed with a classroom session when one of our highly qualified PADI Instructors explains the concept of Scuba Diving and shows you the equipment you will be using in the swimming pool later in the evening. After the classroom we go next door to the swimming pool where your instructor will show you how the scuba equipment is assembled. Your instructor will then brief you on what you will do in the swimming pool over the next hour. Once in the water, your dive instructor will help you put your scuba equipment on and he/she will gently help you take your first breath underwater. Before the hour is up you will be swimming underwater using your scuba unit and experiencing your first encounter with the underwater world. Without doubt this will be one of the best experiences you will have ever had. Nothing compares to the "weightless" exhilaration of breathing underwater. Only a diver knows the feeling

Who can do the course?

You must by 10 years of age or older on the start date of the course. You must be in good health and be able to swim. All participants must complete a medical statement prior to entering the water.

What do I need?

All you need is your swimming togs and a towel. We supply everything else.

How much does this cost?

The try a dive experience costs only € 70. This includes all dive equipment. After you complete the course you are awarded a certificate of achievement and recognition card for your wallet from PADI.
